September 27– October 19, 2020, Letters of Inquiry submission period

October 19, 2020, by 5 pm, Letters of Inquiry due via email and/or in the CCCCF, Inc. PO Box (late submissions will not be reviewed)

October 19 and 20 (if needed), 2020, at 6 pm Grants Committee meeting/Letter review virtual or at the College of Central Florida Citrus Campus, Conference and Learning Center C4 Room 105

October 22, 2020, at 6 pm Letters of Inquiry approved by the CCCCF, Inc. board at a virtual meeting or at the Lecanto Government Building, room 166

October 23 – 25, 2020, Congratulations emails, grant proposals, grant directions, grant checklist and grant due date is sent out to the approved applicants

October 26 – December 9, 2020, Grants Proposal submission period

December 9, 2020, by 5 pm, Grants Proposal due via email and/or in the CCCCF, Inc. PO Box (late submissions will not be reviewed)

December 10 and 11 (if needed), 2020, at 6 pm Grants Committee meeting/grant review online or at the College of Central Florida Citrus Campus, Conference, and Learning Center C4 Room 105

December 17, 2020, at 6 pm full board meeting and Grants Awards approved by CCCCF, Inc. board at virtual meeting or at the Lecanto Government Building, room 166

December 18 – 20, 2020, Congratulations letters mailed and emailed out to grantees with Grant Agreements for review by grantees and invitation to January 28, 2021 CCCCF, Inc. board meeting

January 28, 2021 at 6pm CCCCF, Inc. board meeting, Grants Agreements approved, signed and delivered (including award check) to grantees, photo op

Grant News

Citrus County Community Charitable Foundation, Inc. awards Special Category Grants Grants Committee Chairwoman Sophia Diaz-Fonseca and the board of the Citrus County Community Charitable Foundation, Inc. congratulate the following organizations on being awarded grants during the Special Category Grant cycle:

  • CASA- awarded $20,000 for food, hygiene items, medications and infant supplies
  • Citrus County Family Resource Center- awarded $11,000 for hygiene items, medications, and infant supplies
  • Citrus County Blessings- awarded $13,394.00 for food
  • Community Food Bank of Citrus County- awarded $20,000 for food
  • Citrus Pregnancy Center- awarded $20,000 for infant supplies
  • Citrus United Basket- awarded $20,000 for food
  • New Church Without Walls – awarded $20,000 for food, hygiene items and infant supplies
  • Homosassa Seventh Day Adventist Church- awarded $15,000 for food
  • Mid-Florida Homeless Coalition- awarded $20,000 for food, hygiene items, and medications
  • The Pregnancy and Family Life Center- awarded $20,000 for food, hygiene items, medications and infant supplies
  • We Care Food Pantry, Inc.- awarded $19,000 for food

The grant administrators of each organization signed the grant agreements August 27, 2020 awarding them funds up to $20,000 for their programs in the following four areas of local need:

  1. Food (i.e., proteins, dairy, vegetables, fruit, cereals, starches, etc.)
  2. Hygiene items (i.e., shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, deodorant, sanitary products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
  3. Non-prescription and prescription medications (i.e., aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, diabetic supplies, etc.)
  4. Infant care (i.e., diapers, wipes, formula, shampoo, lotion, etc.)

During this time of uncertainty, the distributed grant funds will help to improve the health and
wellness of residents in Citrus County, Florida.
